Build a Kit
An Ozarks Ready family has an emergency kit on hand that contains basic survival items for when you need them most. Your kit should be tailored to the needs of those in your family, easily stored, and ready to grab at a moment's notice. What is in the kit?
- Water: One gallon per person per day
- Food: 3 day supply of non-perishable food
- Can-opener
- Battery-powered AM/FM radio (extra batteries)
- NOAA weather radio
- Flashlight with batteries
- First Aid kit
- Necessary medications or medical supplies
- Personal hygiene supplies, diapers, etc.
- Dust masks
- Wrench or pliers to turn off utilities
- Cell phone with chargers
- Cash
- Warm blankets
- Pet supplies
