The Greene County Juvenile Office believes that whenever possible, it is best for the youth and families we serve to handle referrals informally through the Diversion Unit. Referrals to the Diversion Unit will not have court involvement at the time referred.

The Diversion Unit works to link families to resources in our office, and the community, that can help youth avoid further system involvement and help families reach their full potential. The Diversion Unit will partner a Diversion Officer with the family, and work with the family to develop a treatment plan that the family supports and believes will help them reach their goals.

Parents who are seeking assistance from the Juvenile Office for their youth, may complete a Parental Assistance Form that can be emailed to [email protected]
